Player: Trish
Name: Brooke McAllister
Codename: Instinct
Age: 17
Height: 5'6" not counting the ears
Weight: 99.9 Pounds
Hair: Black
Eyes: Gold with green and blue
Nationality: Brooke is from Anglo-Saxon heritage. She is not a cat.
Occupation: Student
Appearance: Brooke is an obvious mutant, but she seems to have gotten the good end of the deal. She has strongly feline-inspired features; she is lean and long-legged, with every inch of her body a graceful curve. She has a long tail, about once and a half as long as her leg, and her ears are up on top of her head as big points. The nails on her fingers and toes are like polished onyx points, and her eyes are sparkly gold with green and a little bit of blue shading along the slit pupil.
Brooke is covered in brown fur, too long to be called 'short' but not long enough to be called long; just long enough to run one's fingers through. It covers every inch except the soft black pads upon her hands and feet and her cute little nose. Her hair is more human, but thick and beautiful luxurious black with a gentle wave to it. Her nose is upturned and black, much like that of a cat, and she has some long whiskers sprouting from her face. White fangies peek out!
In the summer, Brooke has little black markings! She has a cute little saddle-marking across the bridge of her nose and her cheekbones, add the top third of her big pointed ears are black. Her hands, wrists, feet, and ankles - but not her fingers and toes - are black, giving the appearance of fingerless gloves and open toed ninja boots. About the last 10% of her tail is black.
In the winter, the markings are larger. Her face marking spreads to cover more of her face, going past her eyes and over her mouth and such. Her ears are almost completely black, with just a little rim of brown peeking over her hair. Her fingers and toesies turn black, and the black continues all the way up to her knees and elbows, and about the last 50% of her tail is black.
Brooke carries herself like a self-assured and partially domesticated predator; a wide swing to her hips accented by her long tail, a proud posture with back arches and chest thrust out as she walks on the balls of her feet. Her big pointes ears are motile, able to point this way and that or lay flat against her skull. Brooke prefers small, tight clothes, for assorted reasons.
Brooke is not a cat.
Personality: Brooke's personality is a varying mixture of young lady in her prime, snooty house cat, and FIERCE APEX PREDATOR! Although Brooke is not particularly conceited or rude, she is absolutely in love with herself and conceived that she is perhaps the eighth wonder of the world. She is moody, but not bitchy; ever-playful, and sensual in every move she makes. It is rare to find her out of good-spirits for long, as moping around goes against the array of instincts provided by her x-factor. Brooke is uniquely in touch with her baser instincts; knowing exactly what she wants without it interfering with her ability to make decisions.
Brooke is not a cat.
Background: What do you do when your give birth to a kitten? Coming out with pointed ears and tail and fur was certainly upsetting to her parents. Fortunately, one feature of Brooke's mutation had kicked in at birth; being too damned adorable to wish any ill will to.
The doctor did not want to be associated with this, and so he kept silent. Newborn Brooke was surprisingly healthy for a brand new baby, and so she was sent home immediately and the hospital was told she was sent to a 'special care facility'. Her parents kept her out of sight as best they could, and moved to the suburbs before she could start to walk.
Once Brooke could walk, she became a vortex of trouble. She also made the transition from 'first step' to 'being able to jump on top of the damned china cabinet' in a remarkable three days. Young Brooke required constant supervision, demanded constant attention, and climbed the curtains. In addition to all this, they had to feed and clothe and home-school her all without letting the neighbors and child services find out about her. She's lucky to be so adorable.
As the years moved on, that adorable turned to sexy. She blossomed into a striking young... woman, of feline features. Little Brooke could be distracted from her desires of outdoor adventure with a laser pointer or a treat, but adolescent-Brooke was horny all the time.
When left alone, she began to lure the neighbor boys into the house. A young man will get over her physical differences very quickly, it seems, and this went on for a time without anyone finding out. Eventually, though, a well-meaning young man decided to embrace tolerance, and decided to ask Brooke's parents if he could take her on a date proper.
Brooke was bundled up and shipped off to boarding school in California, to be with people who can understand her. Her parents do love her very much, but after seventeen years, they've had all they can take of her for a while. Hopefully, having more people to spread her abundant personality across will keep her from wearing out her welcome at Sunshine of Destiny.
Note: It is unclear as to when Brooke realized her powers. Perhaps, since they are instinct, she just always knew about them.

Feline-Inspired Anatomy- Brooke is not a cat, nor a 'furry'. Her X-Factor has merely phoned in some convergent evolution to accent her X-Factor.
*Claws- Retractable claws on feet and toes do +2 damage with Feeble(4) Armor Piercing. They also allow her to climb on any surface up to and including sheet metal at her normal movement speeds. She is considered to have Remarkable(20) Adhesion when her claws are dug in.
*Stunt- Brooke's sharp teeths do +6 damage will not heal properly without on their own an Endurance check.
*Tail- Brooke is still mostly human, and so her tail is as much monkey as it is cat. It is prehensile and as strong as her arms. She can make a single extra action with it per turn at -2CS, however she cannot actually damage anyone with it alone.
*Fur- Provides Typical(8) armor vs energy damage and Feeble(4) Armor vs physical damage. She is furry enough to survive in sub-zero temperatures.
*Balance and Grace and Flexibility- Brooke gets +2cs to balance, acrobatics, graceful maneuvers, balance, contortion, stealth, and any other movements complimented by her feline anatomy. She can fit through any opening she can fit her head through. Usually.
*Night Vision- Brooke can see just fine in any light except for 'no light'.
*Ears n' whiskers n' such.- Brooke only gets -1CS when blinded instead of the normal -4. She can act normally in pitch darkness.
*Adorable Nose- Brooke can track by scent at -2CS and can remember anything she has ever smelled. Forever.
*Toesies- Brooke can hold things in her feet, albeit not very well, but better than you can, nyah! She can take an extra action with one foot per turn at -4CS, although if she is using her foot for a hand she is at -2CS to dodge.
*Catgut- Brooke can consume raw meat without fear of disease or intestinal distress.
Note: Brooke is not a 'feral'
Hyper Leap- Remarkable(30) - Brook can jump 30 feet straight up or twice that forward.
*Focus Leap- By rolling Strength and spending an action, Brooke can boost her Hyper Leap till the end of her turn. She gets +2CS on a Yellow.
Enhanced Running- Brooke can run at Typical(8) Land Speed without strain.
Weapon Savant- Brooke's 'real' power, aside from her physical mutations. Brooke instinctively knows the best way to use any weapon she holds. The bonus is dependant on the weapon in question.Improvised weapons like a table leg or broken bottle, get +1CS.
All firearms get +2cs.
Tools intended for non-combat uses get +2cs.
Brooke's own claws get +2CS.
Regular, functional weapons or highly effective weaponized objects (like a baseball bat) get +3CS.
Exceptional weapons, such as a masterfully crafted blade, or Justice's sword, or Captain America's shield, get +4CS.
Legendary weapons, such as Mjolnir or Excalibur or some third example get +6cs.
*Worthy- Brooke's understanding makes her 'worthy' to wield any weapon that has pre-requirements. However, this only awards her the ability to use it was a weapon and not necessarily access its other features.
Example: Brooke can wield Mjolnir as a hammer, however she cannot fly with it, command the weather with it, throw it and have it come back, etc.
Equipment:
Weapons Rack- Brooke has an impressive collection of regular, functional weapons. No guns on it, though.
Weaknesses:
Bestial- Brooke's mind is programmed to run much more animal instinct than a normal human. Effects that effect animals can be attempted on her at -2CS.
Domesticated- Brooke demands constant attention and affection, or sometimes just ignores everyone. This can prove troublesome.
Obvious Mutant- Brooke cannot pass for human if any part of her is visible.
Contacts: The school
Knowledges: Brooke knows all about cats, hunting, prey animals, and non-firearm weapons.
