Name: Chris Selkin
Codename: The Ghoul
Age: 17
Height: 5'11"
Weight: 160
Hair: Red
Eyes: Red
Nationality: Caucasian
Occupation: Black Precint Sting Officer
Appearance: In natural form, Chris is a lean and fair-skinned, somehwat beautiful man. Regardless of his bishounen appearance, though, his height and stature suggest a great deal of physical power. He has streange, enchanting red eyes and long, soft red hair. His fair-skinned long-limbed ropy-muscled self looks good in pretty much any atttire. Oddly, it seems impossible to geuss how old he is by looking at him.
Picture:
Personality: Chris has still not gotten over his troubled past, and this shows faintly in his behavior. However, at this point in his life he is focused on moving forrward. He is a strong-willed man who always tries to have a smile, but takes everything he does very seriously. Is it too seriously? It can be hard to tell. He is, though, a largely honest and dependable friend and ally the majority of the time; a brother and a leader. However, this can all be overriden in a heartbeat by his obsession with his sister. He has a bit of a sick sense of humor, but he's an OK guy.
Background: He had a normal life, starting out. He was bored with his life, being it was so simple. He lived in a nice house with an a happy dad and a busy mom, and when he was seven he gained an annoyingly cute little sister named Amanda. Growing up, he'd watch cartoons and scary shows and wish for a scary and exciting life, away from this boring, safe place. He was such a fool...
When he was eleven, some heavily-armed and well-equipped men broke into his home. They shot his parents with assault rifles, and stole a few valuable items. He tried to fight them, but they threw his childish body down easily. He remembers all the water pipes in the house exploding, and at that point the men dissapeared into the night.
Chris and Amanda were put into an orphanage and overheard that Amanda would probably get adopted right away, but an 11 year old was probably there to stay. To his surprise, it wasn't three weeks before a sweet foster family came and selected him. He kicked and screamed, for they were separating him from his sister - but eventually he was assured that the people taking Amanda were wealthy, and with them she would have a good life and college and security - things a kid like him could never get her. He let her go, and she took a piece of his heart with her.
The new foster family was as boring as the real one, deeper in the city, with two stranfers trying to be the perfect parents. They bought him stuff, punished him lightly, fed him every day, took care of him. They took him to the doctor, a lot. He was getting blood tests done every month - 'just in case', he was told. This went on till he was thirteen.
At this age he began to learn new things about hmself - he was able to control water. Not much, mind you - just to slosh it around, rise it up into the air, mayge get it to rain a little when it was cloudy. Still, pretty cool. Around this same time he noticed a change in the behaviour of the people in his life. Though he had told no one of his x-factor, people began to get anxious and nervous all around him. Doctor visits and blood tests became weekly, and his foster-father started to be a jerk to him, pushing his buttons. Chris snuck out of the doctor's examination room one day and overheard something new.
He was never a foster child. These blood tests were not for any health concern, they were watching him. Apparently someone in his bloodline was a powerful mutant, and they were waiting to see if he'd activate an x-factor. His sister, too.
That night at home, he ran away. He lived on the streets for as long as he could - which was about four days, as it turned out. Unable to live on anger alone, he fell in with a beautiful woman who had an inapprpriate relationship with him. She took him in, and he lived with her and her strange, scary, beautiful friends. If nothing else, he was now in the scary, exciting life he'd always anted.
Unlike his foster parets, they did not keep their secret long. They were a cell of Gorkisoni breed vampires, and in exchange for their hospitality he would do things for them during the day. His mistress fed him her blood, and as he would drink it he would gain strength and speed and enhanced senses. They called him a 'thrall' and treated him well for the next two years. Aside from what seemed like a good deal, he noiticed that he had lost his powers after consuming the blood.
Eventually, a group of vampire hunters began to close in on the cell. They now could not leave at day or night safely, and needed more from him. They began to ask him to kill people, and bring the bodies back for them to feed. He was shocked; Gorkisoni are low-,etabolism hollow-fanged vampires and had, to that point, no reason to kill anyone. However, these people were his family - not monsters, right? So, he did it. Once.
The hooker he killed was too much for him. The vampires got one meal, but Chris was traumatized and refused to do it again. Failing to convinve him, they turned on in and moved to devour him. His mistress lept atop him and in defense, he grabbed her arms. His fingers sank into her flesh, and he could feel her dead blood flowing into his body. Before he knew what was happening, he had drained her dry.
On instinct, he stood and threw out his right arm. It swelled to massive size, a wrecking-ball fist punching a hole in the wall, and allowing him to escape toward the rising sun. Later, he led the vampire hunters back to the lair. As far as he knows, they're dead now.
The vampire hunters got him back on his feet and took care of him for a while. They told him he was a 'ghoul', a human fed on vampire blood, giving him miuld powers in exchange for being able to be unwittingly forced to do things. Things like murder an innocent person and bring their corpse in as take-out dinner. He did not want to stay with them, and became a wnderer. He hopped from house to house, living as a roamer while he finally got back on track trying to find Amanda. Even though she stopped drinking vampire blood, his powers remained and even advanced, and as he followed leads he would fight 'bad guys'.
When he was 16 he was caught up with by the Los Angeles County police. They didn't arrest him - he was offered a job! Founding membership in the county-sponsored superhero-police which woulkd come to be known as 'Black Precinct'. Now he'd have a job, a purpose - and a whole police station to help find his sister. How could he say no?

Origin of Powers: Supernatural Mutant: Ghoul, x-factor mutated by ghouling
-Species: Gorkisoni Breed Ghoul
-Species Description: The Gorkisoni breed of vampires hails from Greece. They appear as they did when human, if paler of skin and darker of eyes. They can be killed by heart-staking, sunlight, decapitation, or massive damage - however, any damage they survive can be repaired by the blood they drink. They are also able to change their appearance by forcefully reshaping their face. Aside from their heart, brain, and blood, none of their body parts are vital and they ignore most damage. They have no weaknesses beyond sunlight. New Gorkisoni vampires are only made intentionally.
Gorkisoni ghouls enjoy enhanced physical stats, as well as heigtened senses. They have accelerated healing, allowing them to survive what would otherwise be mortal wounds - so long as their master keeps them well-fed.
Powers:
Perpetual Ghouling- Chris's blossoming x-factor was mutated by the vampire blood. Now, even without consuming vampire blood, he will always, always be a ghoul.
*Enhanced Fighting- as statted.
*Enhanced Agility- as statted.
*Enhanced Strength- as statted.
*Enhanced Endurance- as statted.
*Enhanced Intuition- as statted.
*Dead to Damage- Good(10) True Invulnerability as minor flesh wounds no longer phase him.
Hemokinesis- Chris has Fantastic(30) control over blood. Unfortunately, this generally only applies to blood no one else is using; his own blood, spilled blood, blood in a dead body, etc. He cannot control the blood in the body of a human or vampire or other living thing.
Hemotransmution- Chris can turn the blood he controls into different stuff. Mostly, this makes crystals, but there are a few other things. Often, he will have to use up some of his stored blood to do this.
*Blood Bank- Monstrous(100) ability to create and store blood. His 'Bank' stores 100 points of blood, and this recharges overnight like hit points.
*Blood Heal- As a free action, Chris can spend 1 point of blood to regain 1 hit point.
*Blood Donor- As a free action, Chris can spend 1 hit point to regain 1 point of blood.
*Blood Tendril- Tendrils of blood, up to 30 feet long. These cost nothing to generate, however, as they are made of liquid they have Shift0(2) Strength and can only affect things that weigh less than 25 pounds.
*Blood Mass- Chris can spend points of blood point-for-point to increase his Strength till the end of the turn.
*Hemox Blast- A squirt of hyper-oxygenated blood releases all its energy for a ranged attack. Ths does generic 'hot' energy damage, but cannot set things on fire. Costs 5 blood points, deals Fantastic(30) damage. However, he takes 10 damage for every rank it goes past his Endurance.
*Blood Crystals- Chris can form blood into hard, dark red opaque metallic crystals of surprising hardness. Due to their high iron content, these are affected by magnetism.
**Blood Crystal Chains- Not able to be made at combat speeds, Chris can make chains of blood crystal links - 1 foot long per point of blood spent. These are of Fantastic(30) strength. Weilded as a weapon, they are felxible weapons with +4 damage.
**Blood Crystal Shard- 5 points of blood for a jagged crystal, thrown to do Strength in edged damage at range.
**Blood Crystal Spear- 10 points of blood for a self-firing well-formed blood blade. It does Fantastic(30) damage with Good(10) Armor Piercing.
**Hemox Blood Crystal- 15 points for a glowing crystal, thrown to deal Remarkable(20) impact damage and Remarkable(20) energy damage as it hits and explodes.
**Rib Rocket- 10 points to painfully rip loose and instantly regenrate a rib, launching it from the torso with pressurized blood. This does only Remarkable(20) damage, but counts as a stake for most vampires.
***Rapid Rib Rocket- If feeling particularly sadomasochistic, Chriss can three-round-burst or even full-auto these, up to 24 in a round. However, each rib still costs 10 points. He cannot concentrate this fire.
**Gore Rocket- 50 points. This is an entire bone (usually a radius or ulna) that rips itself free and is instantly regenerated. It is tipped with a hemox-enhanced crystal blade and filled with pressurized blood to propel it through the air. This is extremely painful for Chris, but moreso for the enemy - it does Amazing(60) damage with Fantastic(30) Armor Piercing.
*Clot Counter- A pre-emptive scab, Chris can hurl a blob of thick blood to automatically counter some projectile attacks. Working only on subsonic projectiles, Chris can freely spend 1 point of Blood to stop 3 points of damage from such a weapon to himself or anyone within 10 feet of himself. He does not have to stop the attack entirely. Cannot do when Exhausted, of course.
*Fingerfangs- Chris does not have fangs, but he can make hollow points of crystal jut from his fingertips. By attacking with his hands, slapping, against targets that have blood, he can restore his Blood Bank. The attacks do Strength in damage, and half the damage he does (rounded up) is added to his Blood Bank. Against most vampires, all the damage he does is added to the bank.
*Purge Blood- If Chris takes on some bloodborne disease or toxin, he can get rid of it by expelling an amount of blood popints equal to the CS of the effect.
Engorge Flesh- Chris can move blood around to monstrously enlarge parts of his body. Unless stated otherwise, this is a free action. He does not regain the points by returning to normal.
*The Big Hand- for 10 points, one hand grows to about the size of his torso. This gives him +1CS to Strength with that hand when attacking. It also makes it into a 1CS Shield; if he has not used it to attack this turn, he can use it to deflect for +1cs to dodge or block for +10 Armor. Note: this stakcs with his TrueIn.Note 2: He has two hands, you know! One to attack, one to shield. Dual Shields, in this case, do not stack.
**The Bigger Hand- for another 5 points, it gets to almost the size of his body. This increases the effect for +2CS to damage or a 2CS shield.
*Blood Bloat- 20 points to engorge his skin, puffing him up to hideous thing. This gives him +10 armor that stacks with his TrueIn.
Shape Flesh- By breaking his body and healing it in the new shape, he can change the shape of himself. He can return to normal by spending more blood. Roll Intuition to do this in a timely manner, but with uunlimited free time he can do it without a roll.
*False Face- Smashing his face and rearranging it is a painful process that lets him take on the face of someone else. He can't change his skin tone, but he can push or flush blood from his face to darken or lighten it. He is normally fine with caucasians and native americans. Hispanic and middle eastern people usually work out well. Asians are a little harder, and if he tries to turn into a black guy he just turns really dark red. Maybe no one will notice...
Talents:
Impersonation- Chris is trained to mimic the voices and mannerisms of other people. Roll Intuition if the illusion is challeneged; +3CS to this roll if he's had time to studyt a dossier, or possibly more depening on the info.
Eqipment:
Black precint Badge- Chris is an official ploice officer of Los Angeles County.
Squad Car- A police interceptor,. very fast.
Service Weapon- 14 round Beretta M9, reload is free action. Good(10) Damage.
Weaknesses:
Sunlight- As his blood is similar to vampire blood, in extremly bright sunlight the costs of spending his blood are doubled. This is usually not the case, and generally only for 2 hours a day or when in somewhere such as the desert.
Bloodeborne Dangers- As he is still alive, any blood he takes in that has diseases or toxins will threaten him. He must deal with them like anyone else, or Purge blood till he is clean.
Mercury- aside from, being an awful poison, mercury in his system will rapidly deplete his Blood Bank. A suprisingly small amount can destroy his entire stock, and still leave him with the posion in his system.
Amanda- His sister is the ultimate distraction. Any hints to her location or condiution can entrely throw him off from whatever he is doing.
Contacts: Black Precinct, and through them police and other law enforcement. Also, he knows a troupe of vampire hunters.
Knowledges: Police training
Skills: Police training
Notable Notes: Chris doesn't carry a gun normally, because he is more dangerous than it. He can, though, if he wants, and it's all legal.
Chris's blood defaults to B Negative.
