Size: Large
Summary: The Flame Village is a beautiful village. As a semi-tropical peninsula, it is home to vibrant plants and a wide variety of animals. There's enough water for fish and there's enough land for domesticated animals, so they are a land of plenty. A competitive people, they never like to be outdone, so the next meal always tastes better than the last, and a building always looks nocer than the one down the street.
Through this aggression, strangley, comes peace. Any conflict that escalates beyond a certain point will almost always end in someone dying, and as people don't want to die they have learned not to push things too far. The ones who couldn't learn were taken out by natural selections. They have good relationships with other villages that respect them and are often welcoming to anyone who dares the valley of lava to come visit them. They are also welcome in most places, due to their tendency to discourage aggression.
Ninja from there tend to wear a lot of bold red to show that they are dangerosu, although the red is rarely the primary color of their outfits. They are a wealthy group, and this is reflected in the quality of their clothing and equipment. A few clans of Flame-Nin use very strange tools as ninja equipment; this dates back to wartime, and even if they carry something silly, they are not to be trifled with.
History: Peace is relatively new. Even a few generations ago, the Flame Village was known to never back down and to take what they wanted. Invaders and conquerers, they were a scourge to their on land and neighboring nations with weaker villages. Eventually they found someone their own size to fight; the Village Hidden in the Sky. What exactly started the war was unknown, but start it did, and it raged for years. As numbers began to dwindle, the war boiled down to a single battlefield in the Land of Memory.
The war took a toll on the Flame Village with many of their mighty ninja injured or dead. Not giving up, the Flame threw everything they had into the fight; tracking ninja, healing ninja, cooking ninja - clans of support ninja became warriors with former tools as weapons. When resources began to run out, the Flame nin found a nearby village; the Village Hidden in the Dust. This medium village was hit up for weapons and food from the Flame-nin obtained these things with reasonable fairness. Sadly, the Sky-nin became wise to the Dust and attempted to occupy it to control these resources. The Flame-nin would not accept this, and the battlefield moved on top of the smaller village. The Dust-nin fought back, and becme an enemy of both sides. With all decency out of the equation, the Dust village was dismantled. drained of resources, and burnt to nothingness so the enemy could not find a use for the rubble. Proper conflict resumed between Flame and Sky. No end was in sight, and bodies fell until it reached the point where if any more dropped, neither side would habe enough nin left to send on missions. Without mission money, their large villages would starve. In the name of the almighty dollar, peace was agreed upon.
The war had many good results, however. New jutsus and techniques formed in the desparation of combat made the Flame nin more formidable than ever. A few powerful clans from the now-destroyed Dust Village were adoped by Flame. Most importantly, the world had seen the ferocity of fire. The Flame-Nin no longer needed to bash and bully; they just showed up and got their way. Other would-be invaders would see Flame-Nin welcome in an area and turn around to find somewhere else to harass. Demand for Flame-Nin skyrocketd, to the point where they can charge Class-B prices just to have their people hang out in a town or city. The warmongers turned peacekeepers, and stand ready to deliver a flaming torrent of peace anywhere in the world.
Arcitechtural Descrption: Architecture in the Flame Village is sensational. Each building has to be more impressive than the one across the street, which leads to a paradox of remodeling. They are one of the most advanced villages, with electric lights and running water and personal computers common throughout their buildings. Their economy is very good - in addition to the excess food and beatiful flowers and crafts they ship out, they also mine and forge steel in large quantities.
Social Description: The Flame Vilage has a very calm and stable daily life. This works in two ways; a local knows that if he causes trouble, he will get his ass kicked. Locals also will kick someone's ass if they cause trouble. While some might call this living in fear, the Flame people simply call it society. This strong code of behavior keeps eveyrthing going smoothly, and encourages people to compete in nonviolent ways. New things are rapidly created and old things are constasntly improved. It's a lovely place to visit, AND you'd want to live there.
Ninja Values: Aggression! When life gives you lemons, make weaponized citric acid! When they push you, STAB THEM. Flame-Nin hit First, they hit Hard, they make an Example. This is to be carefully recognized as difference from berserking or bullying; a Flame-Nin is aggressive with the same clear head and tactics any ninja approaches a job with.
Preferred Jutsu: Flame-Nin, of course, prefer Fire jutsu, but not all of them are born attuned to it.
-Lava Release- A very rare number of Flame Nin are attuned to Lava as an element. It's a very powerful, very diffiult to control element. Fortunately, any nin with this gift is equally attuned to either Fire or Earth.
-Flame Clone- The Flame Clone is made of flames. Unlike most jutsu clones, it remains incorporeal. If something strikes the flame clone, it will pass through - passing through the raging flames the clone is made of. The clone will also not disperse from something so simple as a punch, kunai, or sword strike. it takes a very powerful physical attack, a powerful Wind Release, or smotheirng the clone to get rid of it. This jutsu has two drawbacks; firstly, the clones are very hot. At a distance of a few inches this heat can be detected and a quick-thinking nin may realize it's a clone - and hopeuflly have time to react. Secondly, these clones take a lot of chakra to produce and must be used with a bit more tact than other clones.
Unique Features:
-Electronica- The Flame Nin import more advanced devices from the outside world. It's not uncommon to see them with tablet PCs of varying size or other advanced portable devices. Their bingo books are reading tablets that update automatically, keeping them well ahead of other villages. It's rumored that some of the younger nin has learned to bind things with seals into e-readers instead of scrolls, and even transfer these seals wirelessly.
Clans:
-Gusta Clan- A clan of cooking-nin turned warriors.
