Name: Land of Abyss
Created By: Gradius
Description: The oxymoronic Land of Abyss is not truly a nation but a loose blanket term for any who live in the oceans bordering the Land of Fire and the Earth Country, formerly not even large enough in population to be given a name. With the recent appearance of shinobi that have been tracked to the coast, only to vanish into the tide, the intelligence bureaus of the world have given it this name for the sake of having a place to file new information.
History: Entirely unknown.
Hidden Village: Unknown.
Name: ?
Created By: Gradius
Symbol: A double shelled Taijitu (Yin Yang) with three fish instead of two
ASCII: [ ((Y)) ]
Nation: Land of Abyss
Hidden how?: Very well apparantly. ANBU has been able to determine a location aside from 'in the ocean south of the Fire Country'.
Size: ?
Summary: A new and mostly unknown village of assumably aquatic shinobi. Beyond simply using water based jutsu, as near as anyone can tell, they literally live underwater somewhere south of Fire Country.
History: Unknown
Arcitechtural Description: Unknown
Social Description: From what few encounters have occured or been forced, the dwellers of this village are soft spoken but guarded in what they are willing to softly speak, perhaps embodying the placid mystery of the deep sea. Or perhaps embodying a brewing storm that will eventually sweep across the land. They are friendly but not warm, even toward one another, and their intentions are thus far unknown.
Ninja Values: Stoicism seems to be an important trait, if the painful looking jutsu that have so far been demonstrated are any indication. This is backed up by the quiet speaking of the facts rather than an impassioned plea on behalf of the rogue genin that attacked the Leaf, though neither do they seem to seek bloodshell too swiftly, as they allowed the rogue to live and as far as anyone could tell even escorted him home.
Preferred Jutsu: Water Release arts are an obvious must, with some skill in Lightning Release, though this may have only been with unseen help. While the more unique abilities of the clan come in the form of hosting mysterious eggs within their own bodies, much like the Aburame clan but on a lesser and simultanously more grisly scale.
These eggs can be hatched with the invocation of chakra, and the occupant matures instantly to a full sized creature to join the fight. The types of creature are as varied as the ocean itself, though they all share unnerving demonic traits that sets them apart from 'normal' sea life.
The eggs have also been seen to contain electricity or biological agents, used as bombs, or to mature into very heavy pearl-like shells, which can be launched to attack at range.
Unique Features: All members of this tribe are marked by heavy scarring on most of their body, where eggs are assumably laid to roost, as well as fishlike mutations of the body, the severity of which seems to depend upon how much of the supposedly 'toxic' chakra of the eggs is in the body and how proficiently it is dealt with.
Notable Notes: Too much of the aforementioned toxic chakra will drive you batshit insane and turn you into a horrible fish creature. Or well, a horribler fish creature than you already are.

Clan Secrets: The nurturing of vaguely demonic versions of aquatic creatures within the flesh, to be released later. It is uncertain if this is a Kekki Genkai, a Black Medicinal art, or just a very specific form of contract summoning.
The following creatures have been observed, though it is uncertain if they are all the arts of a single clan, or the stolen arts of several different ones, as the only instance of combat was with a rogue genin that had taken on more power than he could handle.
Egg Hosting - The undisclosed art by which very large fish eggs are inserted into the body to nurture the growth of various creatures. This leaves a telltale scar above the point of insertion.
Egg Bomb - The firing of an egg like a bullet from the slot it occupies. Eggs shot this way, rather than creatures, contain elemental chakra or biological gas of abominable stench that stings the eyes, retches the stomach, and makes it difficult to concentrate. The casual difference between a 'projectile' egg and a beast-baring egg has not yet been determined.
Egg Summon - The art of opening the scar of a beast-baring egg and freeing it for use. The creature emerges from the wound and rapidly matures to full size, or more squickily this can happen in the opposite order. If placement is key, it seems possible to fire the eggs BEFORE they hatch, though this must present some tactical disadvantage, as the much more comfortable method is used sparingly. Listed below are the types of beast that have been observed.
Tohru of the Leaf Village has determined that these creatures share a hive mind powerful enough that they can help one another will off genjutsu.
*Piranha Beast - Smallish creatures, vaguely humanoid with relatively long, willow legs and very short arms that hook forward like those of a mantis. Its torso is almost entire head, and its head is almost entirely mouth. This razor fanged maw can open to twice its prior size to deliver devastating bites, and they have been observed to devour even metal weapons with ease. If not gusto.
Two of these creatures were captured by Tohru of the Leaf, and are currently in ANBU custody for examination.
*Marlin Beast - A nightmarish mockery of 'real' swordfish, the creature sports an all but featureless body, long and powerful with a single paddle-fin at the end. Its body rounds off at the front, and from the center of what can only be loosely called its head sprouts a very long prong that comes to a rapier point. Spiraling down the length of the weapon is a metallic vein of an unnerving red color. The creature attacks simply, by swimming through the air and throwing itself into a drilling spin before contact is made. Once buried in an unfortunate foe, the vein begins swiftly devouring the blood that flows from the wound. The removal is nearly as damaging as the initial strike if not done carefully.
*Jellyfish Beast - The smallest but by no means the least hideous or potent, the creature vaguely resembles a jellyfish, with a gelatinous main body from which sprout many barbed tentacles. In the center of its body is a single bloodshot eye that can point in any direction it likes. Its goopy mass is conductive enough that Lightning Release passes harmlessly through, though a solid blow to the eye will kill it.
Clan Chakra: Water
Clan Skills: Obvious proficiency with Water Release jutsu in addition to their more esoteric forms described above. Their coolness of mind and chilly politeness give them an edge in diplomacy, neither offending nor giving up more information than they want to at any given time. On the attack, they strike swiftly and without relent, at least if the sole half-mad genin is any indication.
It can be assumed firmly that they are strong swimmers.
Clan Details: Sparse. There is no indication that the three that have been encountered so far are even part of the same clan, or if they're simply part of the same village.
Clan Appearance: The clan is noted for being close in appearance, with surprisingly, perhaps suspiciously handsome faces and powerful builds with stocky torsos and long limbs. Their eyes are pure black like those of a fish, and their thin lips host an array of very sharp teeth, though they are not generally seen unless a member wishes to intimidate. They have large, finned ears that sweep back around thick, unruly hair, and one has been observed to have large extendable fin-blades on each wrist, though this may not be typical to the clan.
The official garb is an armored gi of fish scales, over which is a long, loose coat made of kelp and under which is a tightly wrapped cloth garment like fishermen tend to wear, leaving their legs bare if the coat is unbelted.
The genin was dressed in a simpler garment made of seaweed, hanging down over his chest to his belly in a triangle, and flipped over each shoulder like a poncho to hang in the back with the individual strands. It is possible he was dressed more nicely and destroyed the outfit in his mutated craze.

Members: Two older gentlemen, perhaps jonin.
One young genin twisted by mutation due to overuse of clan jutsu.
