As time went by, she began to realize that the visions were more than just flights of fancy, and that she was actually projecting her spirit outwards. Until she felt something snap. Rushing back to where she had come from, she found a whole bunch of nothing. Panicked, she searched high and low for her body, certain she'd been kidnapped, and perhaps flayed alive by government vivisectionists. Curling up in a ball, she eventually realized she'd become flesh and blood again somewhere during the process.

Astral Form- Lindsey has the ability to become an incorporeal being. Being a ghost gives her numerous advantages over her normal flesh and blood form, but also numerous disadvantages. Lindsey has Spectacular (50) control over when she changes, but does not have to roll outside of stressful situations (Combat, afraid, etcetera.) Changing forward or back is a full round action and she must wait at least one round in between. Astral Lindsey is invisible to normal human eyes and cannot interact physically with the world around her. Obviously, this means she cannot be grounded, blinded, poisoned, grappled, etcetera. Logistics aside, Lindsey can still see and speak and hear and smell and taste and feel while in intangible/invisible.
If Lindsey is reduced to 0 Hit Points while in her Astral Form, she will be forcefully thrown back to her normal form with Good(10) Hit Points remaining. This extends only Good(10) feet around her. While in her Astral form, Lindsey's mental stats and hit points do not change, and her physical attributes are as follows:

*Invisibility- A completely incorporeal Lindsey can choose to be completely invisible to contemporary sight. Visible light and infrared light pass through her, so eyes and heat vision cannot track her. She may choose to become more visible to visible light, but she still cannot be seen by heat vision.
*Intangibility- While astral, Lindsey cannot be tanged. She cannot interact with physical matter and it cannot interact with her. Attacks lacking any sort of vibrant energy pass through her harmlessly, as well as any sort of pure kinetic energy attack. Hybrid attacks only deal the energy aspect of their damage unless the actual attack specified they cannot be separated. I.E.; Lindsey is hit by a sword that does 10 damage and has been set on fire to add 4 fire damage. Lindsey only takes the bonus fire damage.
**Energy Resistance- Lindsey has Good(10) Armor vs vibrant energy while in astral form. This is enough to protect her from the electrical wiring of a normal house.
**Manifesting- Once per round, Lindsey can adjust her Manifestation. Normally it is at 0 and her strength is at 0. She may set it to any number she likes and that becomes her new Strength score (compare the score to the chart to determine CS). Her Manifestation cannot go beyond her human Strength. However, Lindsey has a Damage Cap equal to her Manifestation vs physical and kinetic attacks - attacks can do damage to her up to her Manifestation. I.E.; Lindsey has Manifested up to 4 for Feeble strength. She is hit by a sword that deals 10 damage. She cannot take more than 4 damage (her Manifestation) from a physical attack and so she takes 4 damage. Lindsey also becomes more visible as she manifests and is 100% visible when at maximum Manifestation. Lindsey cannot be grappled unless she is at 100% Manifestation; otherwise grapple attacks do the user's Strength in damage.
Note: Lindsey is not affected by gravity while astral, but she can feel it. If nothing else she always knows 'up' and 'down'.
**Dream Wounds- while cuts and scrapes remain, major damage done to the astral form generally does not translate back to her human form. If her astral arm is cut off, she'll still have that arm when she returns to a material form. Any hit points lost are still lost. Restoring a lost limb requires her to spend half her Endurance in hit points.
*Soul Strength- Since Lindsey's body is less important to her, she has extra Hit Points equal to her Psyche.
*Possession- Lindsey can roll her Psyche against another person’s Psyche to possess their body. While in possession of the person’s body, Lindsey can do whatever she wants to do. The person she is in possession of can struggle and fight against her if they wish, and if they do so Lindsey must constantly (every round or five minutes) make a roll to keep control. If she fails, she is forcefully (but not painfully) thrown out of the person’s body. If Lindsey attempts to do something life threatening (or something considered just as bad to the person she is possessing) their psyche score is tripled and Lindsey must successfully win two rolls. Not for use on PCs and important NPCs. Some people may be automatically immune to this for various reasons.
*Astral Blade- A blade of psychic or magical power that Lindsey can use. It is made up of her own willpower; roll Psyche to form it. On a Yellow, one of her forearms turns into a weapon that deals Strength+10 damage. If it is sharp, it had Good(10) Armor Piercing. Once she has it, she's stuck with it until she changes to human or her arm is chopped off. Upon making the roll she must determine of this blade affects corporeal or incorporeal things. She may spend hit points to modify it:
--10 HP - Enlarge - Doubles the damage bonus. Can only be done once.
--20 HP - Sharpen - +10 Armor Piercing. Can only be done once.
--10 HP - Awaken - The blade becomes able to affect both corporeal and incorporeal targets.
--20 HP - Banish - the blade turns back into her hand.
The blade cannot hurt physical targets if she is at Manifestation 0. It cannot hurt incorporeal targets if she is at 100% Manifestation.
*Ghost Winged- While in her Astral Form, Lindsey has True Flight at Feeble(40) air speed (10 MPH).
*Spooking- Lindsey can affect the general area around her in subtle spooky ways, while in astral form.
**Thermostat- Lindsey can raise or lower the temperature within a 10 foot radius of herself by rolling Psyche. This is a full-round action. On a Yellow, she adjusts the temperature by ten degrees Fahrenheit. She can only do this once; rolling again defaults back to the normal temperature.
*Will-O-Wisp: Lindsey can spend a hit point to create a ball of light of Feeble(4) intensity. She can control it, but it goes out of it moves more than 10 feet from her. Any damage dealt to the ball makes it go out. The ball has no offensive or defensive capacity. It's about the size of a ping-pong ball.
Weaknesses:
Astral Nonsense- Lindsey's clothing and gear become astral when she does, but as they are incorporeal they do not work. Armor she was wearing remains, but does not provide her any benefit; except possibly against astral attacks.
Energy- Vibrant energy attacks damage Lindsey in her astral form. They do half their damage, rounded up. If she has Materialized at all, add that many points of damage to the attack. This is all calculated prior to her armor. Concentrated kinetic energy & radiation do not apply to this and is treated as physical damage.
*Electromagnetism- EM Fields and other energy fields and force fields are generally treated as solid objects vs her astral form and she cannot pass through them, or may be slowed down.
Exotic Energy- Energies outside the mundane fire and lightning and such deal full damage to Lindsey whether she is astral or not, though her Energy Resistance still protects her. Cosmic rays, magic, psychic powers, and alien technology can all fall into this category.
*Holy Objects- While Lindsey is not evil or unholy, blessed objects, holy objects imbued with power, or holy symbols tend to fall under 'exotic energy'. Even if used as a bludgeoning weapon, holy weapons and objects can deal full damage.
See You Later, Alligator- Even while invisible to normal eyes, electronic imaging reacts to her. Within about 30 feet, the images will bar and wobble, and she may appear as anywhere from a fuzzy spot to a static streak to a static outline of her lovely shape.
After While Crocodile- Lindsey should not remain in her astral form for more than her Endurance in hours. Upon hitting that mark, she enters into a limbo where she cannot freely return to her normal form. She also can no longer directly perceive the material world, drawing further and further away into an unknown void. She must roll to change back , and needs one success for each hour she went past her mark, rounded up. She may only roll once per hour, but these additional hours do not add to her number needed. However, any White result adds one extra success she needs. A green is half a success, a red is two successes. Additionally, each roll causes the next roll to get -1CS. When her ability to roll hits Shift0, she materializes in a random subdimension. This could be the land of the dead, Asgard, the Darkforce Dimension, the Other Place, the Realm of Dormamu, or anywhere - a faint chance of it being material Earth. Getting back is her problem.
Note: Lindsey is able to sleep and even benefit from a Good Night's Sleep while astral, but this is risky business without an astral alarm clock.
