Name: Paul Wesley
Codename: No alias.
Age: 23
Height: 6'3"
Weight: 145 pounds.
Hair: Green.
Eyes: Green.
Nationality: American mutt/talking man-planty hybrid.
Occupation: College Student - Philosophy.
Appearance: Paul is human in shape only. Yes, he has bright green eyes, and strange, verdant hair on his head, and even long, dexterous fingers, but the mutant is missing one essential human trait.
Paul doesn't have any skin. A layer of dense, verdant leaves covers the vines and assortment of organs that make up his form. Paul is typically seen in a haphazard set of clothing, not exactly seeing the need for the covering.
Personality: Paul genuinely loves, or at least attempts to love, everyone regardless of belief or actions, believing that, at heart, humans are good, if misguided, creatures. That does not mean he is unwilling to reprimand someone who errs or will sit still watching one person hurt another. No, Paul is a gentle soul but he stands against all perceived forms of injustice with all of his power.
Paul rejects the use of that strength for the harm of others, however, believing that a victory with love will last for longer than one gained through violence. Paul also holds an intense belief in the sanctity of life is so prevalent that he has undertaken a vegetarian lifestyle rather than harm a living creature so he might feed. The mutant is no armchair idealist, however, but puts his energies into his civil disobedience and physical labor in order to better himself and the world.
Background: Paul lived a normal suburban childhood. Nothing of note or interest happened, as is with most mutants, until the dawn of adolesence. People begin to ask questions when trees begin popping up where once there were none, and it's not as if anyone can exactly hide a boy with leaves for skin. Paul faced discrimination and fear for his own features, and he grew angry at the world. Parents are only human, fragilely so, with little experience to help them through the mad twists and turns in life. Rather than rejecting their son, they embraced him, coddled him, attempted to protect him from the world with a fervent need for protection.
Paul grew angrier at the world. Discrimination or coddling, he faced both, and he cursed God for what he had done. For the cruel fate that has been thrown at him. He then happened to pick up a book, a biography.
It changed the boy. Instead of blaming fate, instead of raging against the universe, he would stand for all who faced discrimination. Instead of being trodden upon, he would attempt to help all stand tall and strong. Taking on the role of the satygrahi, the man who loves those who would hate him, he took to protests, to civil disobedience, all the time emulating the man who had inspired him to love the world.
It was during one of those demonstrations that he came to the attention of the Sunshine Academy.

Strength----- (#) When not engaging in physically-demanding sports, Paul focuses on physical labor to purify himself. Due to plowing the earth with nothing but a hoe and his hands or harvesting the fruits of his labor, Paul has built an admirable strength. This only augments the inexhaustible muscles in his form.
Endurance---- (#) Because of near-tireless flora-based body, along with sap that seeps from wounds in order to close and heal them, Paul has superhuman endurance. His highly physical lifestyle has also aided in increasing his fortitiude. Being part plant, Paul also lacks many of the vitals that human beings contain, making him strong against many types of typical damage.
Reasoning---- (#) Paul is highly intelligent, able to ace his college courses with minimal study. While no genius, he is mentally capable and an avid reader.
Intuition---- (#) While Paul believes that love is the strongest force in the universe, he does not doubt the strength of hate and other negative forces. Paul has an uncanny ability to judge the motives of others and uses this in his dealings with anti-mutant/anti-human forces. Paul also has the ability to read signs most would typically miss with plants.

Hit Points: Ignore this
Mental health: Ignore this
Resources: Poor, supplemented by produce from his garden.
Source of Income- Paul performs handyman-esque tasks in order to repay the school for his stipends.
Origin of Powers: Mutant
Powers: Paul has the ability to manipulate plant matter. Using his very energy, the mutant can make seeds grow into massive oaks and trees can become treants.
Plant Manipulation-
*Maturation- Paul is able to channel energy from his form into plants. In his hands, most seeds can grow to their full potential as a plant in seconds. The matured plant does not need soil to grow, though it cannot survive long-term without it.
*Shield- By holding his turn, Paul can reflexively react to one enemy, even if they are not targeting his form. Using a seed, he can grow a large plant in front of the would-be assaultee in order to take some, or all, of the damage. The plant's ability to take damage is based on its species.
*Treant- With the investment of his will, Paul is able to temporarily control up to two plants for his own purposes. their roots acting as feet and their branches acting as arms. The larger the plant, the harder it is for him to manipulate. In this stunt, Paul is able to act but suffers reduced agility due to his focus.
Body Manipulation-
*Vine Whip- Through the twisting of cord-like muscles and leaf-esque skin, Paul is able to turn his limbs into vines. In this state, he lacks fine dexterity requires for dialing phones or typing, but it improves his reach, up to ten feet, and ability to grapple and entrap an opponent.
*Floating Leaf- Paul is able to manipulate his unique physiology in such ways that it is difficult to strike him. His limbs can bend, go slack, and stretch to impossible, confusing degrees.
*Camoflague- Paul is able to plant seeds into the leafy surface of his 'skin'. He is then able to grow the plants to maturation, allowing himself to blend in with his surroundings. The cost of this is that Paul loses the ability to perform Floating Leaf due to the roots attached within his body, in addition to reduced agility. It can take several turns for him to dislodge the plant life. This ability can also be used to attach barbs and brambles to Paul's person, making a would-be foe less eager to grab at him.
*Sap- When hurt, Paul's body emits a sap that quickly serves to clot the wound, thus limiting the effects of damage. In addition, over time, Paul can regrow any lost limbs or body parts as some varities of tree.
*Pollen- Paul is able to dispense spores from his being that create a drugged effect for typical fauna.
*Seedling- When near death, Paul is able to shoot spores from his form. Encased in one of the spores is the mutant's consciousness which over a period of days can reform into him. The spores are quick-moving and multitudious, but if by luck or skill the 'true' spore is struck, Paul will die.
Equipment:
Satchel- Paul carries a satchel on each side of his person, carrying a variety of seeds. Paul intuitively knows what seeds exist in each of the dozens of pockets within.
Weaknesses: As Powers above. A 'Weakness' is something superhuman, or at the very least unique to you (or your alien species). A superhuman weakness is like Superman's weakness to Kryptonite - the average person doesn't worry about that. A unique weakness is like a phobia of spiders - it's not something most people worry about. Things true to the average person, like not being buletproof, are not weaknesses.
Fire- As part plant, Paul is extremely flammeable. He suffers extreme damage from fire.
Ice- Paul is unable to cope with extreme cold. When faced with it, he begins to wilt and move less effectively. Though it does not do increased damage, it seems to lower his abilities.
Solophile- Paul requires solar energy to survive and heal. As he spends periods without it, he begins to wilt and his statistics and abilities grow weaker until death is reached.
Contacts: Certain prominent members of the mutant civil rights community.
Knowledges: He has an alphabetic knowledge of plants.
Paul loves religion and philosophy, and is well-versed in both. He has studied them since adolesence and is currently in a bachelors' program surrounding the content.
Skills: Paul is an amazing hand with the typical aspects of horticulture and crossbreeding.
Paul is able to utilize "Google-fu" along with other research methods due to his long life as a student.
He is also has a great deal at organizing movements in the pursuit of civil rights.
