He doesn't quite understand normal society, and is not sure what to make of it. Still, he is eager to fit in and make some friends.
Background: The Halstraums were always a wealthy family and Marcel's parents are fine upholders of the tradition. They own an array of businesses around the world, and happily live a life of mansions and yachts and high-society.
Marcel was their first son, and he was a cherished angel. The Halstraums were good people, but even a good person raised in such excess can find himself to be spoiled. He was a rich kid, a good looker, his parents' favorite: even when his sister came along a year later.
Aside from a mean jealous little sister, life was always good. However, enough money to ignore the real world is not enough to keep away fate...
Marcel began to manifest mutant powers as he became a young man. Learning to control these powers was an alien and awkward experience. It has come to make him question who he is and he still is unsure of his fascinating abilities.
His parents, like most of the upper class, were repulsed by the thought that they'd spawned a mutant. However, their love for him overpowered this social stigma. They did their best to be supportive. but did not really know what to do.
As things come to be, they learnt of the school, and he was sent there.

Sonomorphics- Marcel has Incredible(40) the ability to generate or physically becomes a reciprocating kinetic energy pulse; a soundwave or vibration that carries on or can pass through solid matter. Damage from this effect is considered Sonic or Force.
*Pulse Blast- A ranged attack dealing Fantastic(30) damage. He gets +1CS to this attack.
*Thunderblast- An explosive ranged attack that deals Spectacular(50) damage.
*Frequency Punch- Marcel can set his fists to resonate at a high frequency, granting Good(10) Armor Piercing to his punches.
*Resonate Armor- Incredible(40) - by successfully maintaining a touch on a target with rigid armor, he may cause it to temporarily resonate in a way that its armor becomes unstable. This lasts for 1d3 rounds. The enemy's Armor rating is reduced by 20 on a Yellow roll. This cannot give the target 'Negative' armor to cause them to take more damage from attacks.
*Phase- Spectacular(40) ability to phase through a solid object at the speed of sound, by turning into a kinetic energy wave for a moment.
*Phase Dodge- Spectacular(50) ability to phase and let an attack pass through him. It deals half damage instead. However, if the object passing through is a sound-absorbing material like Vibranium, it instead deals double damage. Marcel cannot do this in response to failing a dodge; he either phases or dodges, he cannot attempt both on the same attack.
*Sound-a-Port- Incredible(40) ability to turn into an energy wave and pass through a large solid object at the speed of sound only to pop up somewhere else in contact with the original object. The Earth beneath his feet makes a fine medium for this. He may go 1000 feet in a single action.
*Thunderport- He may turn into an incorporeal energy wave and fly through the air at the speed of sound without fear of obstacles. He may fly for under a minute and be unharmed but for each full minute he flies he takes 10 damage. He must rest or 5 rounds between Thunderports.
*Thunder Tackle- A devastating attack dealing Monstrous(100) damage. He gets +2CS to this ranged attack but can only make it once per round. Unfortunately, in a successful hit he receives damage equal to the rating of his enemy's Endurance plus the Armor rating of any rigid armor they are wearing. This damage is doubled by material such as Vibranium.
Sonic Swordplay- Marcel can channel his powers through his special sword for the following effects.
*Resonate Edge- Fibrating the sword gives it Fantastic(30) Armor Piercing. However, it has no Armor Piercing against armor that Marcel has Resonated; the Resonations throw each other off, Resonarte Armor wins.
*Sharp Shot- Firing a Pulse Blast through the sword gives it Good(10) Armor Piercing.
Note: Marcel gets +1cs only to this attack. The 'swordplay' bonus and pulse blast' bonuses do not stack.
*Ground Wave- By stabbing the tip of his sword into the floor, he can send a mighty wave of sonic power through it. Anyone caught in it takes damage, but also must roll Strength or be thrown to the ground.. This is a melee attack. It can be in the following shapes:
Note: This does not damage the floor usually, exept for the small hole he makes.
**Circle Wave- Strikes everyone around him for 30 damage.
**Half-Circle- Hits everyone in front of him and up to two reaches away for 30 damage.
**Quarter-Circle- Hits a small group of adjacent people at a range for 20 damage.
**Slice- Hits a single person at range for 40 damage.
**Fissure- This one damages the floor. Roll Sonomorphics at -1CS. A fissure opens up in the ground in the direction of the blade, up to 20 feet long, 10 feet deep on a Yellow. People in line roll Agility to dodge; failing means they fall in. 2 actions are needed to get out by normal means. Fissures cannot cross; of a new fissure hits an existing one, it will stop there.
*Thunderburst- Marcel may make a called-shot stab attack with his sword for regular damage naming this manuever. If he hits, he may channel his Yellow Thunder Tackle damage through the attack. This damage ignores Armor. However, there is no 'pulling' this attack, and he risks violently killing any living creature he does it to. Marcel may do this for free if he lands a critical hit on an attack that was named to be a sword stab. However, he can only release this charge once per round.
Equipment:
Sonic Sword- This sword has no abilities of its own, it is merely a large knife-shaped bastard-sized sword with a looped-back handle. It does +10 damage. However, it is made to channel his powers, and there are certain stunts he can do with it. Note: Marcel can't exactly carry this thing around, but if he calls up Headmiss she can get it to him.
Weaknesses:
Vibranium- Vibranium armor completely negates any damage from his powers. If he is in contact with Vibranium and attempts to use any of his powers, the attempt fails and he takes damage equal to the damage it would have dealt or its power rating.
Insubstantial- If Marcel is reduced to 0 HP while in energy form, he must roll Endurance; if he fails his body dissipates permanently.
Impure- Marcel is unaware but he has committed a dark sin and his essence is tarnished by it.
Contacts: Mom and dad have simple contacts all over the world. He also has a younger sister, Tempest Tigress Halstraum, who is rather insane and out to get him, but also extremely intelligent and resourceful.
Knowledges: Marcel has a good grasp of finances and politics.
Skills: Marcel is a skilled fencer, gets +1cs to swordplay. He also is a skilled squash player and a weightlifter.
Marcel can pilot a speedboat or sailboat and can ride a horse. He gets no penalty to attacking from horseback, as he is an avid polo player.
